E-Board Members
Kenn Rospert
President (2020-Present)
Kenn has been a member of the Northern Ohio F.O.O.L.S. since 2014 and has held the office of vice-president from 2018-2019. In addition, he is a member of our honor guard. Kenn worked for the Norfolk Southern Railroad as a train conductor and retired after a 42 year career. Kenn was an active firefighter for the Bellevue Fire Department and retired following 30 years of service. Kenn is currently the board chairman for the Firelands Federal Credit Union and the President and Owner of Fire Safety Equipment, Inc. in Bellevue.
Kenn is a veteran E5 Sergeant of the US Army where he proudly served from 1969-1976.
Kenn is also a board member of the Ohio Flags of Honor and the Bellevue’s Fallen Soldiers Memorial. Kenn is a founding member of the Wounded Soldiers Fund. (https://www.firelandsfcu.org/about-us/community-involvement.html) whose primary purpose is to aid families in need that have sons or daughters who have been wounded in the line of duty during the War on Terror.
Kenn has been a key member in forming relationships with our local community leaders and partnering with various military veteran organizations ensuring the vast traditions and heritage of all groups are upheld and passed on to future generations.
In his free time Kenn enjoys spending time with his family, is passionate about aviation and is a private instrument rated pilot.

Charlie Warthling
Vice-President (2020-Present)
Charlie has been a member of the Northern Ohio F.O.O.L.S. since 2007 and has previously held the offices of Vice-President and President from 2014-2017. In addition he is also a member of our honor guard. Charlie is a 13 year veteran of the Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department where he serves as a firefighter and training officer.
Charlie works full-time at the EHOVE Career Center in Milan, Ohio as an assistant principal. He is also an active instructor for the adult fire academy teaching in the evenings and weekends. Prior to his employment with EHOVE, Charlie worked for the Lorain County Joint Vocational School as a Career Tech Supervisor and with the Mapleton Local Schools as their Agriculture Education Instructor and Future Farmers of America Advisor. Charlie also works on his family farm that operates a cow-calf operation.
Charlie is affiliated with the United Way, Partners for Prevention and the Western Reserve FFA Alumni in the Huron and Erie County areas.
Charlie and his wife Kory have been happily married for over 13 years and in his free time, enjoys
hunting, fishing and skateboarding with his wonderful children (Kendall 11 and Chance 9).

Tim Grines
Treasurer (2019-Present)
Tim has been a member of the Northern Ohio F.O.O.L.S. since 2004 and is one of the founding members of our chapter, he has previously held the office of Secretary/Treasurer from 2004-2014. Tim is a member of our honor guard. Tim was an active firefighter for the Townsend Township Fire Department and retired following 20 years of service.
Tim’s dedication and hard work to our chapter has been instrumental in the continued success of our annual reverse raffle.

Ken Dresser
Secretary (2019-Present)
Ken has been a member of the Northern Ohio F.O.O.L.S. since 2016 and is a member of our Honor Guard. In 2019, Ken accepted a full-time firefighter position with the Fremont Fire Department in Fremont, Ohio. Ken also maintains his volunteer firefighter position with the Huron River Joint Fire District in Monroeville, OH where he has served since 2014.
Ken is a licensed heavy equipment operator, working for national corporations building highway corridors throughout north-central Ohio prior to his new endeavor with the Fremont Fire Department.
Ken remains active in his hometown of Monroeville as a Football Alumni Association Member and as a committee member for First Responder and Military Appreciation for Monroeville Local Schools.
In his downtime Ken enjoys farming, hunting and following his favorite sports teams in addition to renovating his century old home.
Through his hard work and passion for the N.O.F.O.O.L.S and the firefighting brotherhood, Ken has quickly proven himself to be an integral member of our organization.

Dennis Rospert
Trustee (Honor Guard)
Dennis has been a member of the Northern Ohio F.O.O.L.S. since 2014 and is a member of our Honor Guard. Dennis is currently a Sergeant with the Bellevue Fire Department in Bellevue, OH and has been an active volunteer firefighter serving with the BFD since 1987. On February 11, 2008 Dennis assisted in a water rescue and was awarded a medal for bravery.
Dennis is the production manager for Zimmerman Remodeling and Construction, who specialize in custom home construction and remodeling, where he is responsible for overseeing all jobs, including scheduling subcontractors and ordering building materials. Dennis also manages the company’s safety program.
In his downtime Dennis enjoys fishing, golfing and woodworking.

John Whitright
Trustee (Training) (2019-present)
John has been a member of the Northern Ohio F.O.O.L.S. since 2011 and is an active member of our honor guard. In early 2020, John was promoted to Captain of the Fairfield Fire Department where he has proudly served for the past 20 years.
John is the chairman for our annual reverse raffle.

Jamie Starcher
Past President (2018-2019)
Jamie has been a member of the Northern Ohio F.O.O.L.S. since 2004 and is one of the founding members of our chapter, he has previously held the office of Vice-President from 2016-2017. Jamie retired as Lieutenant from the City of Norwalk Fire Department in May 2017 following a 28 year career and has remained an active volunteer firefighter of the Milan Township Fire Department since 2006 where he is currently a Lieutenant and serves as their Training Officer and Fire Safety Inspector. Since 1999 Jamie is one of the Fire Training Program Coordinators at EHOVE Career Center and also instructs many fire, EMS, Inspector and Instructor classes at the campus. Since 2015 he has served as the Trades and Industry Training Coordinator at EHOVE Career Center in Milan, Ohio.
Jamie is a veteran Sergeant from the U.S. Army where he proudly served for 5-1/2 years from 1990-1995 spending most of his time in Heidelberg, Germany.
Jamie also serves on the Ohio Association of Professional Fire Fighters (OAPFF) Peer Support Team since 2016. He is an active member of the American Legion Post 280 Color Guard and Fraternal Order of Eagles since 1991.
In his spare time Jamie enjoys the outdoors and is an avid hunter and fisherman.
Jamie is a fundamental, multi-functional member of our organization and is responsible for organizing and coordinating the many various aspects of our training as well as ensuring our honor guard is always in top-notch form.
